We are currently recruiting a Field Project Engineer (Construction) for a Major Oil & Gas Operator on Barrow Island, where the successful candidate will report to the Project Delivery Lead on an initial contract until 31st March 2026 with scope to go beyond this.

Position Description/Scope of Work:
- The Project Engineer is responsible for the safe and timely execution of construction and pre-commissioning activities on Barrow Island.
- This includes supporting the delivery team through completion of the detailed design for these scopes, safe execution of the Civils & Underground (CUG), Cross Island Trenching (XIT) and Above Ground Installation (AGI) scope by the execution contractors, through construction, construction completion & pre-commissioning, and commissioning support.
- Be a rotational site-based position as part of the Construction Management team.
- Ensure safe and quality execution of the scope, whilst managing within cost and schedule expectations.
- Work closely with construction contractors and LNG plant operations to assist to manage SIMOPs, permit to work and interface requirements.
- Provide backfill for key Construction Management team members when they take annual leave
- Liaise with support functions including Contracts, Logistics, Materials Management and Project Controls to manage progress of the CUG, XIT and AGI scopes. Proactively identify and resolve potential issues to meet project outcomes.
- Engineering degree
- Previous experience in a construction engineering role – preferably electrical packaged equipment installation and pre-commissioning/commissioning
- Good leadership skills – including the ability to work well with both the construction contractors and asset operations
- Experience working in a construction environment, capital projects and brownfields exposure is beneficial
- Proven ability to prioritise and help the construction team succeed
- Roster: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
- Hours: 11 hours per day
- Point of Mob: Perth, WA (interstate travel is not covered by the client)
