Field Specialist – Thru‑Tubing / Fishing Operations
Location: Texas‑based with travel to additional field sites as needed
Schedule: 3 weeks on / 1 week off
Contract Length: 12 months
Pay Range: $35–$45/hr


Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Specialist with strong experience in thru‑tubing, fishing, and coiled tubing operations. This role supports well intervention activities in challenging field environments and requires excellent mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and adherence to strict safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thru‑tubing and fishing operations using coiled tubing equipment.
  • Conduct drill‑out operations with stick pipe.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot downhole tools and surface equipment.
  • Respond to operational challenges including stuck pipe, tool failures, and HPHT conditions.
  • Ensure full compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
  • Work closely with engineering and field teams to optimize service quality.
  • Complete accurate job documentation and reports.
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed at rig sites and well pads.
  • Long shifts include nights, weekends, and rotational duty.
  • Exposure to extreme weather, noise, and physically demanding tasks.
  • Frequent travel to remote locations, sometimes on short notice.
Safety Requirements
  • Handling of high‑pressure equipment and hazardous materials.
  • Potential exposure to H2S and other toxic gases.
  • Work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Mandatory use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of oilfield experience (10 years preferred).
  • Proven background in thru‑tubing and fishing operations.
  • Experience with coiled tubing, stick‑pipe drill‑outs, packer systems, and liner hangers preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work in remote field environments.
