Geospatial Analyst | 12 month inital contract

Our client is seeking a Geospatial Analyst to join a high-performing team of geospatial specialists responsible for managing, analysing, and visualising spatial and non-spatial data. This role plays a key part in supporting a wide range of business functions through accurate data management, technical innovation, and geospatial insight.

Our client is seeking a Geospatial Analyst to join a high-performing team of geospatial specialists responsible for managing, analysing, and visualising spatial and non-spatial data. This role plays a key part in supporting a wide range of business functions through accurate data management, technical innovation, and geospatial insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, integrate, and maintain geospatial data from a variety of internal and external sources.
- Promote and enable the use of geospatial information and analysis techniques across the organisation.
- Provide expert advice on geospatial data management, integrations, automation, and application development.
- Contribute to and lead project delivery — including defining requirements, managing schedules, and coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
- Support and enhance web mapping services, ensuring best practices in the use of ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Server.
- Deliver geospatial data and mapping products to support key operational and safety functions, including emergency response activities.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams such as Engineering, Development, Planning, Environment, and Operations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of integrated GIS systems.
- Drive innovation by implementing new technologies, data delivery systems, and automation solutions in line with the business’s geospatial strategy.
- Tertiary qualification in Geomatics, Geospatial Science, or a related Geoscience discipline.
- Strong experience in Geomatics or Geospatial Analysis roles.
- Proficiency in the ESRI suite (ArcGIS), Microsoft SQL, Safe FME, and Global Mapper.
- Experience with Python scripting is highly regarded.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and solution-oriented approach.
