Global Connectivity Technical Lead – 12 Months Contract - Remote

36 hour week
Remote / maybe some travel to Bracknell, only very occasionally
 
Global Connectivity Technical Lead essential: -  5+ years’ experience in telecommunications or network infrastructure. Experience managing circuit portfolios (internet Connections, LAN, WAN etc) . Knowledge of telecommunications regulations in key markets. Small amount of vendor management & negotiation skills. Knowledge of circuit types, capacities, & technologies. Strong analytical & problem-solving abilities. Experience with circuit inventory management systems. Technical coordination or project management experience. MPLS, SD-WAN, & Internet circuit technologies. Global telecommunications landscape. Network architecture & design principles. Circuit monitoring & management tools. Bandwidth management & optimization. Network security & compliance requirements
 
Own the internet connects to the locations, experience within telecom circuits LAN, WAN, some project experience with overall network concepts.  Important thing must be able to handle a large number of request, will be the face of the department, you will be point of contact, new circuit orders, adjustments, light vendor management, telco  space, how delivery works, working with non-tech people – could be talking to an executive or a farmer, be able to deal with different customers from different backgrounds, not all tech people.  Training will be given
Networks or telco – be able to communicate, deal with a high quality of work and own the process from beginning to end
 
Preferred Qualifications: - Telecommunications or networking certifications.  ITIL certification.  Experience with major global telecom providers. Multi-lingual capabilities. Background in network engineering. Experience with cloud connectivity solutions

A Global Circuit Infrastructure Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's international network circuit portfolio, ensuring optimal connectivity, cost efficiency, & service delivery across all global locations. This role focuses on strategic circuit management, vendor relationships, & continuous service improvement across multiple regions.
 
Global Connectivity Technical Lead  key responsibilities
 
Global Circuit Management
 
  • Support global circuit strategy across EMEA, APAC, & Americas regions
  • Manage complex circuit portfolios including MPLS, SD-WAN, Internet, & point-to-point services
  • Lead circuit transformation initiatives & technology refreshes
  • Oversee circuit migrations & upgrades across international locations
  • Maintain comprehensive global circuit inventory & documentation
  • Implement standardized processes for circuit lifecycle management
 
Vendor Management
 
  • Manage relationships with global telecommunications providers
  • Support negotiations for international circuit contracts & service agreements
  • Coordinate with regional vendors for new installations & service changes
  • Work with procurement on cost optimization initiatives across the global circuit portfolio
  • Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Work with the Finance team to review & validate global circuit billing
 
Delivery & Service Operations
 
  • Coordinate with technical teams for service implementations
  • Manage service request workflows
  • Track & report on delivery service metrics
  • Oversee circuit change management processes
  • Support project coordination & management overflow for the IT Networks portfolio
  • Coordinate circuit service testing & acceptance
  • Maintain circuit service documentation & records
  • Facilitate circuit issue resolution between vendors & technical teams
 
Strategic Planning
 
  • Develop long-term circuit infrastructure roadmaps
  • Identify opportunities for network optimization & cost reduction
  • Analyze market trends & new technologies
  • Provide recommendations for circuit architecture improvements
  • Create & maintain circuit standards & procedures
  • Regular reporting on global circuit metrics & KPIs
