Role Purpose
The Head of Exploration & Strategic Planning is responsible for guiding the company’s long-term resource development, geological programs, mine planning strategy, and major infrastructure initiatives, specifically including the planning and construction oversight of the overland conveyor (OLC). This position provides strategic leadership in exploration excellence, technical assurance, capital project governance, and longterm mine development for both current open-pit operations and potential underground scenarios. The role ensures disciplined geological interpretation, effective resource growth, project readiness, and timely execution of strategic initiatives that drive sustainable business value.

Qualifications & Experience
- 20+ years of experience in copper-gold exploration, resource definition, field operations, and capital project management.
- Proven experience leading large-scale overland conveyor, mining infrastructure, or bulk material handling projects.
- Strong skills in geological interpretation, data management, drilling execution, and modelling.
- Experience with porphyry and epithermal systems required.
- Understanding of JORC 2012 reporting, QA/QC, sampling protocols, and resource classification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related field; postgraduate qualifications advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and complex field operations.
- Strong communication, planning, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
