NES Fircroft are seeking a trade-qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Mobile Equipment Maintenance team on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off FIFO roster. You’ll be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of mobile plant and equipment.

NES Fircroft are seeking a trade-qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Mobile Equipment Maintenance team on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off FIFO roster. You’ll be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of mobile plant and equipment.
Salary & Benefits
- Paying between $85.00/hr - $95.00/hr + super
- Fortnightly pay
- Short term and long term contracts available
- Goldfields location
- Dedicated NES Fircroft Consultant and Support Staff available throughout your contract.
- Invites to NES Fircroft Contractor Events
- Opportunity for additional contracts at the end of your contract due to our large client base.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant Trade Certificate in Heavy Diesel or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a qualified Trades Person.
- Knowledge and versatility across a variety of equipment.
- Light vehicle exposure and experience.
- Basic welding skills would be advantageous.
- Adaptability is essential to the success of the position.
- Current WA Manual Drivers Licence.
- Highly motivated and the ability to work independently.
- Strong focus on safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and component changeouts.
- Diagnose faults and complete inspections on heavy mobile equipment.
- Maintain service records in line with site maintenance systems.
- Work closely with the Leading Hand and Supervisors to ensure equipment availability.
- Raising Work requests as and when required to ensure plant reliability.
- To be eligible for consideration all applicants must hold appropriate work rights to work in Australia and be willing to undertake the necessary pre-employment checks which will include a medical and a National Police Check.
