HSE Specialist – Onshore Gas Operations – FIFO South Australia – 12 Month Contract
NES Fircroft have partnered with a global oilfield services business, providing specialist consulting and equipment to the oil and gas industry across Australia. Our client has a requirement for an experienced HSE Specialist to join the team on an initial 12 month contract, with a view to extend.
This position will operate on a FIFO roster to South Australia, supporting onshore gas operations. Flights, accommodation and site travel will be arranged by the client.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with frontline supervisors and management teams to drive a strong and proactive HSE culture across site operations
• Provide coaching and mentoring to leaders to strengthen accountability and ownership of safety performance
• Partner with local and regional HSE teams and subject matter experts to manage risks associated with onshore gas field and supply base operations
• Support emergency response planning and execution, including development and maintenance of procedures, drills and training programs
• Deliver HSE awareness initiatives and workforce engagement programs across site
• Promote mental health and wellbeing initiatives within a remote workforce environment
Qualifications and Requirements
• NEBOSH, Cert IV in OHS or equivalent qualification
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience within oil and gas or mining operations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
