We are working with our oil and gas client, recruiting for an Information Officer to join them on an initial 3-month contract with the possibility of extension. The Information Officer undertakes the day-to-day, ongoing general maintenance of the Electronic Document Management System (EDRMS), provides liaison between subject matter experts and the technical and information management teams to meet business requirements and information management best practice.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Providing first level triage services in Information Management, the EDRMS, working with software providers to resolve issues and provide assistance for system upgrades.
  • Delivering training and providing first line support to all staff in the principles, operation of the EDRMS and information management policies and practices.
  • Developing information management procedures and training materials in consultation with the Information Governance Officer.
  • Undertaking projects to support and improve the use of day-to-day management of the EDRMS and its associated products such as workflows.
  • Contributing to information management business improvement activities including conducting audits and developing reports.
  • Complying with business policies and processes, including financial, communication, information and human resources practices, and the Australian Public Service Values, Code of Conduct and Employment Principles
Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in business processes and systems analysis, including strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills to meet work priorities
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge, skills and experience in Australian government records management practices, the use of an EDRMS, the use of Microsoft Windows, other Office applications including MS365.
  • Experience in working with SharePoint and or AvePoint will be highly regarded
  • Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification and eligibility for membership to a professional body in Information Management
