The IT Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering medium‑complexity IT projects with a strong focus on IT governance and SOX compliance. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on project management expertise, proven experience leading cross‑functional teams, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate brings several years of experience in IT project delivery, demonstrates sound judgment, and can navigate technical, operational, and regulatory requirements. This role involves working closely with executives, technical teams, and compliance stakeholders to ensure project alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead the end-to-end coordination, planning, and execution of medium-complexity IT projects.
- Define detailed project scopes, timelines, budgets, resource requirements, and risk management plans.
- Establish and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Track project progress and provide detailed reporting to management and stakeholders.
- Manage projects tied to IT governance initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and industry best practices.
- Support or lead activities related to SOX compliance implementation, documentation, testing, and remediation.
- Collaborate with internal audit, security, and compliance teams to ensure controls are implemented and maintained.
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet regulatory and audit standards.
- Serve as a key liaison between project sponsors, IT teams, vendors, and business units.
- Facilitate communication, run project meetings, and provide clear updates on risks, issues, and milestones.
- Proactively negotiate changes to project scope, schedule, or budget with Project Owners and/or management.
- Build strong relationships to support project success and organizational alignment.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and direct the work of others involved in project tasks.
- Motivate team members, foster collaboration, and ensure accountability for deliverables.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and problem resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify, document, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Ensure effective control processes are followed and that impacts are assessed and communicated.
- Utilize judgment and experience to resolve complex project challenges.
- Prepare project documentation, including risk logs, status reports, governance documents, and compliance artifacts.
- Maintain thorough project records to support future audits, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all project outputs meet quality standards and regulatory expectations.
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in IT project management.
- Strong experience with IT governance frameworks, SOX compliance, and audit processes.
- PMP Certification required or strongly preferred.
- Experience working in or with security-focused companies is an asset.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of creativity, flexibility, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership with experience directing teams.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar).
