Job Title: Junior Transportation Support Coordinator
Location: Kitimat, BC
Work Schedule / Shift: 5 Days/week (Shifts may vary, weekend and evening work to be expected)
Start Date: January 20, 2026
End Date: June 30, 2026 (highly likely to recieve extensions)
Accommodations: Local Hire Only

Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced person to join our team and support the people transportation network. The successful candidate will have strong computer and data management skills and commercial road transport experience. Candidate will provide contract management support for people services including scheduling and optimizing across the Kitimat to Terrace transportation network including its modes of transportation and related infrastructure. Field and office work is required in this position.

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced person to join our team and support the people transportation network. The successful candidate will have strong computer and data management skills and commercial road transport experience. Candidate will provide contract management support for people services including scheduling and optimizing across the Kitimat to Terrace transportation network including its modes of transportation and related infrastructure. Field and office work is required in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Focal for passenger movement operations including scheduling, cost management, record keeping, and dashboard reporting.
- Execute delivery of passenger logistics between site, Terrace, Terrace Airport, and company’s Park and Ride networks.
- Support on-site and in town shuttle coordination, contractor interfaces and field engagement activities.
- Support Site Traffic Planning.
- Support off-site parking infrastructure.
- Effectively communicate with customers, supervisor and management
- Interface between different Road Transport programs as required.
- Provide excellent and timely stakeholder customer service.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- >5 Years Vehicle maintenance and/or fleet management experience.
- Valid Class 5 or higher driver's license. Air brakes endorsement a benefit.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Computer skills in Microsoft software suites including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Experience with Power BI a benefit.
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Organizational skills - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift to 50 pounds.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a self-directed environment.
