Position Summary
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing and coordinating detailed 12- week maintenance plans that support asset availability, minimise downtime, and align with operational priorities. Working closely with maintenance, operations, and supply teams, this role ensures maintenance activities are planned, scheduled, and resourced effectively to meet production and compliance requirements. In this role, you will create and manage maintenance notifications and work orders in SAP S/4HANA for approved scopes of work.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare well-sequenced, accurate work packages for complex maintenance activities and issue them to Maintenance Supervisors.
- Coordinate planning timelines with major events and shutdown schedules to maximise resource efficiency and minimise operational downtime.
- Work closely with integrated operations planners to ensure equipment is prioritised appropriately.
- Develop and embed standardised planning practices by updating SAP task lists and associated Master Data.
- Produce detailed equipment outage schedules, including Gantt charts, and organise activities requiring external vendor participation.
- Assess and enhance maintenance strategies by leveraging asset health data and dashboard reporting.
- Manage parts forecasting and collaborate with supply teams and vendors to secure materials when required.
- Facilitate planning review sessions and lead ongoing improvements to planning processes.
- Highlight and communicate critical path items to support effective prioritisation and risk management.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and 1SAP work management systems is highly valued.
- Strong aptitude for systems-based work, with a track record of handling large volumes of complex planning tasks.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Meticulous attention to detail supported by strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Demonstrated flexibility and resilience when working in fast-paced, constantly evolving environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of maintenance planning, scheduling principles, and logistics coordination.
- Knowledge of cost control, forecasting practices, and efficient resource utilisation.
- Experience using asset health monitoring technologies and making decisions using data insights.
- Competence with the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel and MS Project considered advantageous.
