Summary: The Maintenance Technician performs work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, and facility structures in optimal working condition. This role ensures smooth operations by performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting across various systems.

This role ensures smooth operations by performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting across various systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools; reassemble equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines running smoothly and building systems operating efficiently.
- Inspect drives, motors, belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and follow maintenance checklists.
- Use a variety of tools, from common hand tools (hammers, drills, wrenches) to precision instruments and electrical/electronic testing devices.
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical components, plumbing systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
- Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work accurately.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machine parts.
- Dismantle devices using hoists, cranes, and tools to access and remove defective parts.
- Strong problem-solving ability, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; team-oriented mindset.
- Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance.
- Understanding of production processes, quality control, and cost optimization.
- Familiarity with engineering principles and practical applications.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5–7 years of experience in maintenance or related roles.
