Position Summary:
Client is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our maintenance team. This role is responsible for operating manual machine tools to produce precision copper components and parts according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Client is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our maintenance team. This role is responsible for operating manual machine tools to produce precision copper components and parts according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machining equipment.
- Ensure all parts meet quality standards and dimensional specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve machining issues and improve processes.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training in machining preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in manual machining in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, materials, and tolerances.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Experience working with copper or non-ferrous metals.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
- Basic knowledge of CNC machining is a plus.
