Our client a Global Oil and Gas Oraganisation in Darwin are currently seeking a Materials Coordinator to join them for a 12 month contract.
To plan and prepare all materials, equipment, spares, tools, and consumables required to carry out the Project scope(s) of work
• To manage the materials, equipment, tools, and consumables inventory during Project offshore work campaigns and ensure availability of materials to support the execution of the plan
• To supervise the materials team offshore to execute the offshore scope
• To develop all materials management procedures and be fully prepared for the offshore execution including all carry over and discovery scope
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead Pre starts and Toolbox Meetings
  • Ensure the work is planned and prepared according the schedule
  • Allocate & maintain accurate location records for all materials stored offshore
  • Prepare and maintain inventory of all tools and special tools required
  • Responsible for the storage and allocation of all materials
  • Develop a materials lay down plan which identifies the storage of all materials, spares, consumables required in accordance with the Deck Space Management Plan
  • Prepare manifests of all materials and equipment returning to shore
  • Call off required materials from the onshore supply base according to the requirements of the schedule and requests (RCLA)
  • Ensure stores are operationally functional
  • Be focal point for all offshore material request from the execution team and onshore
  • Ensure that SPMat (materials management tool) is update to date with material issuance, locations, and backloads
  • Preparation of daily and weekly management reports including materials status
  • Interface with procurement and engineering departments onshore to expedite critical material deliveries
  • Interface with Deck Crews for material receipt and return on Supply Vessels with storage location requirements
  • Develop, monitor, and progress materials KPI’s (performance indicators) to demonstrate the performance against the plans and targets
  • Assist the planners / engineers to keep the schedule up to date with materials requirements and deliveries
Key Skills and Experience Required:
  • Materials Management Professional with proven track record in
  • Offshore Oil and Gas Projects including the management of materials for offshore project, maintenance and or shutdowns
  • Thorough understanding of SPMat and SAP software manage tools
  • Demonstrated hands on administration skills
  • Ability to efficiently supervise a team of store persons
  • Minimum of 10 years in materials management
  • Experience with leading teams for offshore Brownfield campaigns
  • Experience managing large materials and spares inventories
  • Brownfield or Greenfield campaign experience
  • A good understanding of handling DGs, reviewing SDSs and a basic understanding of HSE practices
  • Familiarity and experience with SPMat (MARIAN), particularly the warehousing and transport modules
  • Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlooks and Teams)
