Job Title: Physical Security Specialist III
Work Location: Sabine Pass, TX
Duration: (One) Year -12 months contract (Renewable)                                                                               
Rate: $56 per hour

Job Summary:
The Physical Security Specialist III supports security operations across the Export/Import Terminal Facilities, LNG Stabilization & Liquefaction Trains, and Pipeline Facilities. This role ensures strict adherence to company security policies, procedures, and directives, while maintaining compliance with the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) and related regulatory requirements. The incumbent plays a key role in safeguarding personnel, property, and critical infrastructure in a high‑risk, high‑hazard environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security procedures aligned with MTSA requirements and recognized industry best practices.
  • Support and enhance sitewide security awareness and education programs.
  • Report observed violations of company security policies and procedures.
  • Direct all administrative security inquiries, incident notifications, and reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain official security documentation subject to U.S. government audit.
  • Ensure all facility security equipment is operated, tested, calibrated, and maintained according to standards.
  • Participate in emergency drills and exercises; provide First Aid, CPR, and AED support when applicable.
  • Protect company assets from unauthorized entry, theft, vandalism, sabotage, fire, or similar threats.
  • Safeguard employees’, contractors’, and visitors’ personal property on company premises.
  • Ensure adequate training and competency of personnel performing security duties.
  • Support ongoing security vigilance across all terminal personnel.
  • Maintain working knowledge of federal and state security regulations, including USCG, DHS, TWIC, and PHMSA requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Education
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Security, Safety, Environmental, Health, or Regulatory Compliance within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Experience managing contract security personnel at industrial or energy facilities.
  • Experience in emergency preparedness, response, and contingency planning for MTSA‑regulated facilities.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong verbal communication skills, especially in emergency or high‑stress scenarios.
  • Ability to handle and protect sensitive security information.
  • Demonstrated team‑orientation with the ability to progress group discussions and facilitate decision‑making.
  • Acute awareness of safety risks in hazardous industrial environments.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse technical teams.
  • Highly organized with strong planning, multitasking, and deadline management abilities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Military or Law Enforcement background.
  • Experience managing contracted security teams.
  • Knowledge of U.S. security regulations (USCG, DHS, TWIC, PHMSA).
Licenses & Certifications
  • Valid State‑issued Driver’s License.
  • TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required.
  • Facility Security Officer (FSO) certification required or ability to obtain.
