About You
- Degree qualified in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a plant metallurgist role, ideally within iron ore operations.
- Strong understanding of mineral processing and metallurgical performance drivers.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with operations and maintenance teams.
- Monitor and optimise plant performance to ensure efficient ore processing.
- Conduct metallurgical sampling, test work, and data analysis.
- Identify and implement process improvements to maximise recovery and throughput.
- Liaise with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to troubleshoot plant issues.
- Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly metallurgical reports.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Support commissioning and ramp-up activities as required.
