  About the Role A leading organization in the energy sector is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator II to support cost control activities across multiple maintenance-focused capital projects. You will support 15+ projects valued between $300K and $10MM, working closely with project managers and schedulers to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and adherence to project controls processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, track, and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost control documentation.
  • Conduct monthly cost and cash-flow reviews with Project Managers.
  • Document and process project changes in cost control systems.
  • Validate expenditures, capture accruals, and prepare monthly performance reports.
  • Support estimating processes, bid evaluations, WBS setup, and rules of credit.
  • Track progress against baseline schedules and identify cost/schedule variances.
  • Prepare reporting data for dashboards and project reporting tools.
  • Participate in risk assessments, stage-gate processes, and earned value analysis (EVM).
  • Engage in project meetings and support project closeout activities.
Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of experience in cost management or project controls.
  • Experience within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial, or Power industries (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Construction Management (preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as AACE CCE/CCC or PMP are an asset.
  • Proficient in:
    • Cost control systems (e.g., Oracle, EcoSys)
    • Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
    • Collaboration tools such as SharePoint, OneDrive
    • Familiarity with Power BI reporting
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high workload with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working with teams across multiple geographic locations.
