Overview:
Provides support and assistance in the assigned Public Affairs area to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Scope:
Serves the organization and its subsidiaries.

Principal Duties:
Performs administrative and non‑administrative functions to support the respective public affairs teams.
Supports and coordinates activities between public affairs areas.
Supports projects and events in North America.
Assists with events and programs and helps build relationships that foster a positive business environment and advance the company’s ability to do business in the U.S. and with North American corporations.
Assists in the execution of internal and external communications campaigns through web, social media, advertising, and collateral materials.
Develops and maintains filing systems and advises on company retention policies for the assigned area. Organizes data and records to ensure accurate and timely retrieval.
Develops, prepares, and maintains circulation, fulfillment, or other reports requiring the selection, accumulation, and compilation of data and records. Ensures accuracy, version tracking, and initiates improvements to workflow systems.
Assists with the planning, setup, and execution of public affairs events.
Researches topics assigned by the project leader and assists with data entry for databases.
Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Journalism, Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field. Other degrees may be considered.
Must be able to:
Show a track record of effectively handling administrative tasks in the assigned area.
Independently research and respond to inquiries, including issues escalated by less experienced staff, ensuring timely follow‑up and resolution.
Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills with strong vocabulary, grammar, and the ability to independently compose all forms of written communication.
Interact and communicate effectively with team members as required.
Plan work, manage many diverse tasks simultaneously, handle interruptions, and meet deadlines.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and produce high‑quality work.
Develop and maintain spreadsheets and modify formats as needed.
Understanding of the energy industry is a plus.
Additional communication‑focused requirements:
Show a track record of developing and executing complex or sensitive communication plans across an organization.
Work effectively with senior‑level managers to develop appropriate messaging, presentations, and related materials.
Think critically about issues and opportunities to create effective messaging for management.
Quickly assess situations and recommend courses of action.
Consistently demonstrate excellent writing across multiple channels for different audiences.
Build relationships across the organization to provide strategic messaging support on multidisciplinary teams.
Evaluate speaking opportunities and facilitate presentation development and approval processes.

Experience:
Typically requires at least three years of job experience or internship.

Language Requirements:
Must be able to comprehend and communicate accurately, clearly, and concisely in English.
