Note: Candidates must have full EU right to work to travel freely between UK/EU and must have relevant ducting and HVAC experience 

Key role objectives:
We are looking for a committed and detail-oriented QA/QC person to manage our onsite Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety management systems. This role is site based in Frankfurt, with occasional travel across the UK and Europe for inspections, audits, and compliance oversight. You will play a key part in upholding our ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and compliance across various sites.  

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:  

• Managing the Quality function for Panel Duct Limited
• Maintain the PDL (Panel Duct Limited) Quality Certification and systems
• Develop and maintain project quality systems in collaboration with contracts managers • Prepare and update the company quality plan and associated QA procedures

• Ensure QA compliance with the project specifications and drawings

Core tasks

1. Carry out internal quality inspections and defect management, as the ventilation ductwork installation services progress, as part of defect prevention and 'Towards Zero Defects' at handover
2. Collate, QA benchmarking forms for installation works carried out in the field
3. Perform ongoing trend analysis of closing out of snags and defects
4. Complete quality audits and closing-out related non-conformances
5. Use Procore BIM 360 for uploading reports, snag close out
6. Coordinate the implementation of project lessons shared
7. Prepare quality updates to project management and provide quality management input for project reports to clients
8. Manage the flow of documentation via the project document management system
9. Represent PDL in external ISO 9001 quality audits
10. Performing Quality Inductions for new employees
11. Develop and obtain accreditation from other quality bodies as needed  

General:

• Assist in ongoing evaluation of the systems and procedures used for quality management and improvement. Co-operate with the introduction of new techniques as appropriate.
• Be proficient in use of information technology and implement and maintain a
company wide information database on quality records
• Keep up to date with new forms of contract and quality standards applicable to the construction industry.
• Daily meetings with PDL Site manager to ensure quality is maintained.
• Inspections and sign off on completed sections of installation.  

Requirements:  

• Degree, diploma or certificate in a relevant field (e.g. Quality Management, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a QEHS role preferably construction, or engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems proactively.
• Ability and legal right to travel freely between the UK and EU.
• Holds a valid visa or permit that allows unrestricted travel across European countries.
• Willingness and availability to travel occasionally across UK and EU sites.
• Full clean driving licence and valid passport required.
