Our Client, a Global Oil and Gas Operator is currently seeking a Regulatory Advisor for a 2-year contract with potential to extend.

The successful candidate will:
  • Supports the delivery of the Clients Environment Plans through strategic approach to approvals and stakeholder consultation with primary / on country relevant persons
  • Incorporation of Social Political Reputational and stakeholder risks into key decisions
  • Maintains the Clients Social License to Operate
  • Maintains a strategic relationship with key Traditional Owner groups to secure regulatory approvals.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Issues Management Process Lead and supports team development
  • Relationship management of key relevant persons
  • Stakeholder consultation design with the ABU
  • Partners with key internal functions on incorporating stakeholder involvement into project planning
  • Environment Plan Consultation
  • Traditional Owner Consultation strategy, planning and implementation
  • Key Regulator NOPSEMA & DEMIRS Engagement
  • Reconciliation Action Plan Leadership
Capabilities and competencies:
  • Proven ability to navigate complex and volatile stakeholder relationships and generate strategic solutions
  • Strong ability to influence across the business and core functions to deliver on commitments
  • Demonstrated understanding of increased and evolving social expectations and regulatory landscape and how it relates to business and reputational risk
  • Protect business drivers while managing stakeholder expectations;
  • Development and implementation of engagement plans, developing fit for purpose solutions in an agile manner
  • Negotiating, managing and resolving conflict related to culturally sensitive information and agreement negotiations to develop solutions for the business
  • Communicate and translate complex cultural information to inform strategies and decisions
  • Provision of strategic advice to senior leadership on managing business and reputational risks associated with key relationships
