Senior Lead Cloud Migration Architect – 12 Months Contract – Gentofte, Denmark
Moving from Azure & on-prem to AWS
Start Date – 1st December 2025
Hybrid – 3 days on site, 2 days remote
Essential:- Experience: 8+ years in cloud architecture/engineering with substantial hands-on AWS & working knowledge of Azure; proven delivery of Azure-to-AWS & on-prem-to-AWS migrations in enterprise contexts. Ability to define/govern solution architectures, maintain a coherent architectural runway, & coordinate enterprise enablers across ARTs. Terraform/CloudFormation, CI/CD, containers (EKS/ECS), serverless (Lambda), networking, IAM, security engineering, & observability/SRE. FinOps. SAFe/agile ceremonies (PI planning, ART syncs, system demos, Inspect & Adapt) & collaboration with Product Management, RTEs, & System Teams.
My client is seeking a highly skilled & experienced hands-on Lead Cloud Migration Architect for a strategic migration & modernization program moving workloads from Azure & on-premises to AWS, leveraging an existing AWS landing zone. The Lead Cloud architect will be imbedded in the AWS migration program, supporting the cross organizational migration efforts & will be enrolled in the overarching architect community.

- Own end-to-end solution architecture for migrations, ensuring integrity, quality, & fitness for purpose across teams & releases.
- Shape & maintain the architectural runway across ARTs/IPLs, decomposing enabler epics into features & sequencing enterprise enablers with product roadmaps
- Translate enterprise & security policies into consumable reference architectures, Terraform/CloudFormation modules, & CI/CD-embedded operational patterns.
- Define & maintain golden paths & reference implementations for common migration of archetypes (rehost, re-platform, refactor) & day-2 operations.
- Set & enforce non-functional requirements & SLOs (reliability, performance, security, cost); integrate SRE practices (logging, metrics, tracing, incident response).
- Ensure compliance with organizational & regulatory standards via policy-as-code, least-privilege IAM, data protection, & auditability; maintain SADs & ADRs.
- Partner with Enterprise Architects, Product Management, RTEs, System Teams, & domain architects to guide backlogs & coordinate delivery across ARTs/IPLs.
- Participate in SAFe/agile ceremonies (PI planning, ART syncs, system demos, Inspect & Adapt) & uphold shared methods, patterns, & governance for coherent decisions.
- Closely cooperate with AWS delivery/product team & the AWS migration program
- Lead & contribute to designing to-be architecture for high footprint applications
- Experience: 8+ years in cloud architecture/engineering with substantial hands-on AWS & working knowledge of Azure; proven delivery of Azure-to-AWS & on-prem-to-AWS migrations in enterprise contexts.
- Architecture leadership: ability to define/govern solution architectures, maintain a coherent architectural runway, & coordinate enterprise enablers across ARTs
- Platform engineering: deep skills in Terraform/CloudFormation, CI/CD, containers (EKS/ECS), serverless (Lambda), networking, IAM, security engineering, & observability/SRE.
- Standards & compliance: demonstrable expertise embedding policy-as-code, data protection, least privilege, audit controls; alignment with organizational & regulatory requirements.
- FinOps: experience with cost architecture & ability to coach cost-aware design & operations.
- Agile ways of working: practiced in SAFe/agile ceremonies (PI planning, ART syncs, system demos, Inspect & Adapt) & collaboration with Product Management, RTEs, & System Teams.
