We are currently recruiting a Senior MICE (Materials, Inspection, Corrosion) Engineer for Woodside Energy on a 12 month contract to provide long term pressure equipment and integrity management plans, corrosion management and technical leadership for the NWS Reliability and Integrity team, covering operating assets KGP, NRC, GWA and ANG facilities.
The successful candidate will carry out Materials Engineering input to various brownfields projects within the Projects Australia Portfolio, ensuring safe, reliable and cost effective engineering outcomes aligned with Woodside standards.

The successful candidate will carry out Materials Engineering input to various brownfields projects within the Projects Australia Portfolio, ensuring safe, reliable and cost effective engineering outcomes aligned with Woodside standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee delivery of integrity management to NWS.
- Maintain and drive usage of company standards to ensure consistent minimum standards and strategies., ensuring conformance with Woodside Management System (WMS), Engineering Standards and Specifications
- Provide advice and solutions relating to Materials, Insulation and Coating selection, Corrosion, Welding and Non-destructive testing, pressure equipment inspection strategies and risk-based inspection strategies complying with Australian and Company Standards.
- Conduct Annual Corrosion Health checks on NWS operating assets
- Provide discipline input into Project documents such as Basis of Design, Scope of Work, Specifications etc.
- Development of discipline work scopes for Projects Australia
- Drive engineering delivery, through Contractors, to strive for outstanding results
- Providing technical support for site-based delivery, construction, inspection, commissioning and handover activities within Projects Australia
- Strong decision making in the presence of uncertainty and risk; considering and balancing business dimensions e.g. technical, cost, schedule.
- Strong written, presentation and verbal communication to all levels. Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels

- 10+ years relevant industry experience in Materials, Corrosion, Pressure Equipment Inspection, Coatings and Risk Based Inspection, Welding
- Knowledge of industry standards for materials, inspection, coatings, and welding
- Production and Projects Experience
- Familiar with SAP and Integrity management systems (e.g. Bently APM)
- Engineering degree in Materials or Metallurgy or equivalent
- Certifications in API 510, 570, 653, 580, 570, NACE CIP or equivalent looked on favourably
