Reporting to the Superintendent Pipeline Engineering, you will be responsible for providing engineering leadership and technical assurance for long high-pressure pipeline systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible operations for the life of the mine to 2050 and beyond.
Your role will involve:
  • Providing technical leadership and assurance for all long-distance pipeline engineering activities;
  • Developing and maintaining corporate pipeline engineering standards, specifications, and safe working procedures;
  • Overseeing and improving pipeline integrity management, including pigging programs and condition monitoring systems;
  • Providing technical advice, procedure approval, operator training, leadership of root cause analysis (RCA) for pipeline-related incidents;
  • Ensuring pipelines are operated and maintained within design intent and international safety standards;
  • Managing projects and assigned tasks within approved budgets; and
  • Developing capital replacement strategies and long-term condition monitoring programs to ensure pipeline integrity through to 2050 and beyond.
To be considered, you must possess the following:
  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Process or Metallurgy);
  • At least 10 years’ relevant experience in pipeline design, operation, integrity management, condition monitoring, and maintenance;
  • Experience within mineral processing or pipeline industries is desirable;
  • Strong commitment to safety, compliance and environmental stewardship;
  • Proven experience leading successful teams within multicultural environments;
  • Leads safe and sustainable pipeline operations, integrating community, cultural, environmental, and industry best practice standards;
  • Drives operational excellence and continuous improvement, using sound judgement, analytical thinking, and strategic insight to solve complex challenges;
  • Influences and collaborates effectively, communicating clearly while building alignment, respect, and strong stakeholder relationships; and
  • Delivers results with accountability and resilience, planning systematically, embracing change, and maintaining a focus on quality and business impact.
