Our Client, a Global Oil and Gas Operator is seeking a Site Medical Lead for a 6-month contract with potential to extend.

The Site Medical Lead is accountable to the Chief Medical Officer for the delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of medical services across Barrow Island and Wheatstone.

The role provides:
  • 24/7 senior medical point of contact for all medical and wellness issues across Austraian Business Unit and Downstream after hours and public holidays.
  • Operational leadership and coordination of site medical services, including clinic oversight, injury management, medical evacuations, and emergency preparedness.
  • Strategic interface between site leadership teams and the Chief Medical Officer.
  • Oversight of medical contractors, budgets, KPIs, compliance, and clinical governance.
  • Leadership in emergency response capability, ERT integration, and medical readiness exercises.
  • Clinical input into public health surveillance, fitness for duty (FFD), medical surveillance programs, and workforce wellness initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Remote and operational medical leadership – proven experience leading medical services in remote, offshore, or high-risk industrial environments.
  • Emergency and injury management expertise – strong capability in emergency response coordination, medical evacuations, and injury management systems.
  • Stakeholder and contractor management – ability to operate as a conduit between site leadership, medical contractors, and executive medical governance.
  • Clinical background relating to managing medical services.
  • MIMMS experience & training.
