An established engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Structural Projects Lead to take ownership of built‑form projects across WA. You may currently be working as a Senior Structural Engineer with experience delivering building projects and leading small project teams, and now looking to step into a broader leadership-focused position with more client exposure and project ownership.
The Opportunity: You’ll lead a portfolio of medium to large building projects from concept through to construction, working closely with architects, builders, and internal engineering teams. The position combines project leadership, client engagement, team coordination, and high-level technical oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery
- Lead structural projects from concept design to construction completion
- Manage project programs, deliverables, deadlines, and commercial outcomes
- Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Identify risks and maintain strong control over project performance
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and project partners
- Lead meetings and manage expectations around scope, variations, and design outcomes
- Build strong, long-term professional relationships across the industry
- Coordinate engineers and drafters across multiple concurrent projects
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical direction
- Review and approve design work prior to issue
- Maintain involvement in complex structural analysis and design
- Provide guidance on buildability, efficiency and cost‑effective solutions
- Support value engineering and innovative design approaches
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- 8+ years’ experience in a consultancy environment
- Strong background in reinforced concrete and steel design
- Demonstrated experience delivering building projects from design to construction
- Confident managing clients, programs and project teams
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with high-rise or complex structures
- Chartered or progressing toward chartership
- Previous experience mentoring or leading engineers
- Work on high-profile built‑form projects across WA
