Subsea Project Engineer

Location: Stavanger or Bergen

Tasks and responsibilities:
  • Be responsible for planning, engineering and fabrication work to be performed for relevant system/discipline. 
  • Prepare documentations and system reviews such as FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), EFAT (Extended Factory Acceptance Test), SIT (Site Integration Test), SURFHAZID (Subsea, Umbilical’s, Risers, and Hazard Identification), and HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study), and contribute to concept evaluations. 
  • Handle Interface towards relevant systems such as Topside, D&W (Drilling & Well) Completion, Operations and within Subsea Production Systems, Seabed Mapping and Intervention, Geotechnics etc. 
  • During study and execution phase, be responsible for following-up Contractor(s) to ensure quality deliverables in line with SSU, risks, scope of work, budget and schedule, and contribute to tendering process. 
  • Perform/contribute to concept evaluations and provide input to Design Basis updates. 
  • Manage the execution of the relevant system/discipline's scope of work, budget, plans and strategies. 
  • Secure systematic and efficient experience transfer and keep close contact with base organization and discipline ladder. 
Qualifications:
  • Master's or bachelor degree, preferable within marine technology, subsea technology, cybernetics, mechanical engineering or corrosion and materials technology. Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications. 
  • 3-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience from operations or projects, studies, and execution. 
  • Be able to communicate requirements and show direction towards internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Curious, flexible and open to new ways of working. 
  • Ability to prioritize correctly during periods of high workload. 
  • Good analytical capabilities.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, both in English and Norwegian. 
  • Proactive when it comes to continuous improvement and standardization. 
  • Thrive in a dynamic and high pace environment. 
  • Natural drive for performance.
