Systems Completion Lead II

Main Functions The Systems Completion Lead is responsible for implementing the systems completion process on project execution. This includes developing or reviewing the Systems Completion Database (SCDB) and overseeing project team members such as Systems Completion Clerks and the SCDB Administrator. Key aspects of the role include:

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Systems Completion process, including Mechanical Completion, Commissioning and Start-up planning/sequencing, walk-down and punch list management, and Turnover/Handover procedures.
• Close collaboration with contractors to ensure systems completion requirements (e.g., walk-downs and reviews) are clearly understood and followed.
• Practical experience in setting up and managing the Systems Completion Database.
• Ability to define project hierarchy aligned with the completions plan.
• Strong understanding of project completions strategy, facility hierarchy, discipline-specific construction and commissioning verification activities, and sequencing.
• Familiarity with tagging systems and allocation of A & B check sheets to tags.
• Leadership skills to drive project priorities in safety, quality, and schedule, with assertiveness to ensure effective communication.

Tasks and Responsibilities In addition to Level 1 responsibilities, Level 2 includes:

• Leading and guiding the development of Systems Completion strategies, execution plans, and procedures.
• Monitoring commissioning progress and assisting in resolving Systems Completion issues.
• Driving actions to achieve final completion of systems/subsystems for handover to downstream pre-commissioning activities.

Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, relevant certifications, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven leadership experience through supervisory, team lead, or engineering lead roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly present recommendations to management.
• Skilled facilitator capable of building consensus and maintaining positive working relationships.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent priority changes.
• Knowledge of project completions activities and commissioning practices, including familiarity with Systems Completion Database software (e.g., WinPCS, MC+, CoConsole, Orbit).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
