We are working with our oil and gas client, recruiting for a Treasury and Insurance Assistant to join them on an initial 12-month contract.

Main responsibilities:
- Payment processing to suppliers, contractors, tax authorities and JV operators;
- Monitoring & reporting of cash balances;
- Provide assistance to the Accounts Payable function as required;
- General administrative duties for the Finance Department including archiving, preparation of reports for the Tax function and other ad hoc requirements;
- Assisting on special projects as and when required;
- Support in performing SoX controls relating to Accounting, including providing assistance to the Audit and Compliance function;
- Ensure payments to suppliers, contractors, tax authorities and JV operators are made accurately and on a timely basis in compliance with Internal Procedures and Group Guidelines;
- Assist the Treasury & Insurance Coordinator with planning of the cash flow of the Company to ensure the timely availability of funds necessary to execute payments within the applicable contractual deadlines optimising the use of incoming and available funds in compliance with theGroup Guidelines and Internal Procedures;
- Perform all SAP functions relating to Treasury;
- Prepare provisional bank reconciliations on a monthly basis;
- Support audit processes including preparing supporting documentation and answer audit queries where applicable;
- Assist with invoices registering and electronic storage of invoices;
- Responsible for Finance, Control & Planning Department archiving requirements, including retrieval and coordination where required;
- Provide SAP reports as required to assist the Tax function;
- Liaison with HR and IT Department for setup of new users;
- Administrative experience within a Finance/Commercial/Treasury Department;
- Minimum 2 years administrative experience in Treasury and/or Finance;
- Excellent analytical skills;
- Logical approach to problem solving;
