NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Asset Readiness Specialist – Electrical to support a major decarbonisation and energy-transition portfolio in Perth.

This role sits within an Asset & Maintenance Readiness function and is focused on ensuring new electrical assets and infrastructure are fully prepared for handover into operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with project engineering, commissioning, asset management, maintenance, inventory and operations teams to develop maintenance strategies, maintenance plans, spares requirements and supporting documentation for new electrical assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop maintenance strategies and maintenance plans for new electrical assets and infrastructure.
  
  
• Define preventative and corrective maintenance requirements.
  
  
• Identify commissioning, critical, operating and consumable spares.
  
  
• Support BOM and spare-parts development.
  
  
• Identify specialist tools and equipment required for ongoing maintenance.
  
  
• Develop maintenance procedures, checklists and supporting technical documentation.
  
  
• Work with subject matter experts and technical writers to complete maintenance documentation.
  
  
• Support SAP and asset master-data requirements.
  
  
• Update equipment master workbooks and support document control.
  
  
• Liaise with OEMs and equipment vendors to confirm maintenance and spares requirements.
  
  
• Support asset handover from projects into operations.
  
  
• Identify and close out readiness gaps prior to operational handover.
  
  
• Work closely with commissioning, project engineering, maintenance planning and site operations teams.
  
  
• Support electrical infrastructure across transmission, distribution, BESS and inverter systems.
  
  

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Approximately 10+ years’ experience across mining and/or electrical environments.
  
  
• At least 3 years’ experience in asset readiness, operational readiness, maintenance strategy or a similar project environment.
  
  
• Strong understanding of electrical maintenance requirements.
  
  
• Experience developing maintenance strategies and plans.
  
  
• Strong SAP experience, ideally SAP PM.
  
  
• Good knowledge of electrical transmission and distribution networks.
  
  
• Experience working in greenfield and/or brownfield project environments.
  
  
• Strong Excel capability.
  
  
• Experience supporting project handover into operations.
  
  
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  
  
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  
  

Highly Desirable:

• BESS / battery energy storage experience.
  
  
• Inverter systems exposure.
  
  
• HV transmission and distribution experience.
  
  
• Substation or electrical infrastructure experience.
  
  
• Decarbonisation or renewable energy project exposure.
  
  
• Electrical HME experience.
  
  
• Mining maintenance planning experience.
  
  
• Asset master data experience.
  
  
• Critical spares / BOM development.
  
  
• OEM and vendor engagement.
  
  
• Commissioning and completions exposure.
  
  
• Project-to-operations handover experience.
  
  

Qualifications Ideally you will hold:

• An Electrical Engineering qualification, or
  
  
• A recognised Electrical Trade qualification.
  
  

Project Management qualifications or equivalent project delivery experience will also be highly regarded.
