JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Senior (Level III) DevOps/Platform Engineer to design, build and operate scalable AWS Infrastructure and related DevOps for AI, Data Science, and Application engineering workloads. You will work under minimal supervision with a cross-functional team working closely with Platform Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and DataOps Engineers in the AWS ecosystem. You will help drive automation initiatives utilizing IaC, SaC, and CI/CD best-practices techniques.
 
          RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) across multi-account AWS environments.
  • Build, improve, automate and shift-left CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement, automate, and enforce defined Security & Compliance policies at the resource/repository level.
  • Understand and support deployment automation into diverse containerized clusters and data platforms.
  • Support complicated pipelines involving multi-cloud, multi-platform, and on-premises systems.
  • Mentor mid-level/junior engineers.
 
          REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years working in the AWS ecosystem as a DevOps/Platform engineer, deep AWS expertise.
  • 5+ years working with IaC tools like, Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • 5+ years supporting Kubernetes and containerized orchestration.
  • 5+ years scripting/programming with industry standard languages/tools (Python, Bash, Shell).
  • 5+ years Linux/Unix experience.
  • 5+ years code repository experience (GitHub, GitLab, ADO).
  • 3+ years supporting CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, etc).
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and architecture patterns.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and incident-response skills.
  • AWS architecture certification is preferred.
TOP DAILY PRIORITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 
  •  Initially will be tasked to help automate Compliance integrations into the CICD pipelines and our company compliance tool with Terraform.
  •  Automate IaC with Terraform and Python and Shell
         
           INTERVIEW PROCESS 
  •  One 45 minute technical screen on Teams. Potential in-person 2nd interview.
           
            NOTES
  • On-site, 5 days a week. No remote work. Downtown office.
  • Occasional travel to the West Houston office is preferred but not required.
