NES Fircroft are supporting our valued client who are recruting a Senior Subsea Control Systems Engineer on a 12-month contract based in their Perth office, with adhoc travel.
Join our dynamic team as a BCCS Senior Subsea Control Systems Engineer based in Perth. In this pivotal role, you will lead the delivery of the subsea production control system across the project’s FEED and Execute phases, encompassing subsea controls, Master Control Station, electrical power distribution, and communications infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the integrity, safety, and operability of cutting-edge carbon capture and storage developments while driving seamless integration across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.

Your expertise will ensure the integrity, safety, and operability of cutting-edge carbon capture and storage developments while driving seamless integration across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in subsea production control systems engineering
- Proven success delivering integrated subsea systems from FEED through commissioning
- Strong knowledge of API 17F, IEC standards, and offshore integration best practices
- Experience managing vendor, topsides contractor, and operations interfaces
- Competence with all-electric subsea production systems and long-distance subsea electrical power transmission
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills in multi-disciplinary, multicultural environments
- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and engineering quality
- Familiarity with offshore carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects
- Experience working with major subsea controls suppliers
- Background in technology qualification and emerging subsea technology evaluation
- Tertiary qualification in Control Systems, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Subsea Engineering
- Extensive experience in subsea control system engineering roles supporting large-scale offshore projects
- Occasional domestic and international travel to vendors, sites, or testing facilities
- Active participation in safety and risk assessments including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and risk management
- Proven ability to develop and maintain cross-functional relationships and promote a strong safety culture
