As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for several Commissioning Assistance Mechanical for an exciting project at Mongstad.
The position is based at Mongstad and follows a 14/21 rotation schedule.
Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.

What will you be doing?
- Support the Commissioning team in planning, coordination, and execution of commissioning activities.
- Assist the Commissioning team with daily commissioning activities.
- Support the preparation and execution of functional tests and system handovers.
- Coordinate with construction, operations, and vendor teams to ensure readiness for commissioning.
- Verify compliance with Atex directives and project specific requirements
We think you should have:
- Familiarity with commissioning processes and project execution phases.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of HSE requirements for site work.
Broad experience in system and package engineering - Certificate of Apprenticeship
- Software skills: ProCoSys, Fusion
- Field experience in oil/gas industry
- Familiar with Mongstad refinery
- Fluent in Norwegian
