Upstream Company Site Representative (CSR) – Offshore Pipelay Installation Role

Overview:
The Company Site Representative (CSR) is responsible for supporting and overseeing offshore pipelay installation activities during the preparation and execution phases of a major deepwater LNG development project. The role acts as the operator's representative onboard the installation vessel, ensuring that all offshore activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures, project specifications, and risk management requirements. 

The position focuses on the installation of multiple subsea production flowlines and associated subsea structures using reel-lay installation techniques, with responsibility for contractor supervision, HSE leadership, operational assurance, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review installation designs, procedures, engineering documentation, and work packs to ensure compliance with project requirements and installation scope.
  • Act as the primary client representative onboard the installation vessel during offshore execution campaigns.
  • Lead and coordinate the offshore supervision team and assess resourcing requirements for safe execution. 
  • Monitor installation progress and provide regular reporting on operational performance, milestones, risks, and issues. 
  • Participate in installation risk assessments and ensure mitigation measures are implemented effectively. 
  • Ensure contractor HSE plans are aligned with project and operational requirements. 
  • Conduct safety walks, hazard identification activities, and promote a strong offshore safety culture. 
  • Monitor and witness offshore installation activities to verify compliance with technical, quality, and safety requirements. 
  • Manage technical queries, deviations, and change control processes, ensuring appropriate review and risk assessment.
  • Interface with engineering specialists, operations personnel, marine logistics teams, and third-party stakeholders as required. 
  • Support project close-out activities, lessons learned reviews, and final reporting. 
Key Accountabilities:
  • Successful preparation and readiness of offshore installation campaigns, including procedure reviews, risk assessments, logistics planning, and mobilisation activities.
  • Safe, on-schedule, and high-quality execution of offshore subsea installation operations. 
  • Effective oversight of contractors, marine warranty activities, and offshore installation assurance processes. 
  • Compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, permits, and project governance processes. 
Project Environment The role supports a large-scale deepwater LNG development comprising subsea wells, manifolds, trunklines, flowlines, MEG lines, umbilicals, control systems, and associated subsea infrastructure. Offshore activities are executed within a multinational project environment involving multiple contractors and stakeholders across several global locations. 

Candidate Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline. 
  • Minimum 15 years' experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in offshore pipelay installation projects, including significant reel-lay experience. 
  • Demonstrable experience supervising offshore installation contractors onboard vessels. 
  • Strong technical, quality, and HSE oversight capabilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple interfaces within a fast-paced international project environment. 
  • Current BOSIET and OGUK Medical certification. 
  • Fluent English communication skills. 
Ideal Candidate Profile An experienced offshore installation professional with a strong background in deepwater subsea construction and reel-lay flowline installation, capable of representing the operator offshore, providing leadership to contractor teams, driving safe execution, and ensuring delivery of installation campaigns to the required quality, schedule, and HSE standards.
