Contracts Advisor

Our client, a leading Oil and Gas Operator, is seeking a Contracts Advisor to join their Perth based team. This will be a 12-month contract with potential to extend.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Accountable for the overall performance, governance, and management of maintenance contracts within their portfolio.
• Implement contract strategies that enhance safety, operational performance, contractor productivity, and cost efficiency across supported assets.
• Drive contractor performance through effective contract administration, KPI management, performance incentives where applicable, and continuous performance improvement initiatives.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, asset teams, and key stakeholders to ensure responsive, safe, and high-quality service delivery.
• Lead and facilitate contractor performance reviews, service quality meetings, and other contract governance forums.
• Steward contractor compliance with Contractor Safety and Operational Excellence Management Processes and drive continual improvement in HSE and operational performance.
• Provide financial stewardship of contracts, including cost control, budget management, invoice verification, and alignment with Business and Operating Plan objectives.
• Key role in pre-award and post-award contract administration activities, including obtaining and maintaining required bid strategy development, bid assessments, negotiations, approvals, amendments, and governance documentation for applicable contracts.
• Support maintenance execution by ensuring contract strategies and commercial arrangements effectively enable routine, corrective, and turnaround maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with maintenance, turnaround, and asset teams to manage contractor resources and service delivery requirements.
• Ensure contract records, invoicing, and supporting documentation are accurate, auditable, and compliant with company requirements.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing opportunities to improve contract outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance contractor performance.
• Lead contractor engagement initiatives that reinforce leadership visibility, accountability, and alignment with company expectations and values.
