Contracts Specialist

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Contracts & Procurement Specialist to support a major resource sector project. This role will lead end-to-end contract and procurement activities across construction works, capital equipment, and services, ensuring commercially sound outcomes that support project objectives.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in tendering, contract negotiation, contract administration, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage tender processes for construction contracts, equipment, and services.
• Evaluate submissions and support contractor selection and contract award activities.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and risk allocation to achieve project objectives.
• Prepare and administer contract documentation, including pricing schedules and contract amendments.
• Manage post-award contract administration, claims, payment assessments, correspondence, and close-out activities.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities while maintaining compliance with project requirements.

About You

• Experience in contracts and procurement within mining, resources, infrastructure, or oil and gas projects.
• Exposure to major project packages including Civil, NPI, SMP, and/or EIC works.
• Tertiary qualification in Law, Commerce, Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to prepare accurate and commercially robust documentation.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working both independently and within a collaborative project team.
