Our client is seeking experienced Drafters/Designers to join their team out of Tuscon, Arizona! This individual will be in direct support of engineering and project delivery, working closely to develop and maintain drawings, layouts, and design documentation for mining, mineral processing and heavy industrial projects! This person(s) will support multidisciplinary engineering projects from concept and feasibility, through detailed design, construction, and project execution. The successful candidates will work closely with engineering and project teams to develop and maintain drawings, layouts, and design documentation for mining, mineral processing, and heavy industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise engineering drawings, layouts, plans, sections, details, and other technical documentation in accordance with project requirements and applicable drafting standards.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, project managers, and other disciplines to translate engineering concepts and design information into accurate drawings and models.
- Support projects within the mining, mineral processing, materials handling, and heavy industrial sectors.
- Produce and maintain drawings throughout various stages of project development, including studies, feasibility, detailed engineering, construction, and as-built documentation.
- Incorporate engineering markups, vendor information, field changes, and interdisciplinary comments into project drawings.
- Perform drawing checks and revisions to ensure accuracy, consistency, constructability, and compliance with project standards.
- Coordinate drawings and design information across multiple engineering disciplines, which may include mechanical, piping, structural, civil, electrical, and instrumentation.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and project documentation in accordance with established document-control procedures.
- Assist engineering teams with equipment layouts, plant arrangements, materials-handling systems, piping layouts, and other industrial design requirements as applicable.
- Participate in design reviews and project coordination meetings as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical diploma, associate degree, drafting/design certification, or equivalent practical experience in engineering drafting or design.
- Previous drafting/design experience within mining, minerals processing, EPC/EPCM, heavy industrial, chemical, manufacturing, or similar project environments preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and other relevant CAD/design software.
- Experience with 3D design/modeling platforms is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches, specifications, P&IDs, equipment information, and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of drafting standards, drawing conventions, revision control, and engineering documentation.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple drawings and priorities within project schedules.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
