Position: Electrical & Instrumentation Technician - VFD Systems
Location: Kirkuk, Iraq
Employment Type: 1 years Contract role
Rotation- 6 week on /3 Week off
Job Purpose
Responsible for installation, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, instrumentation, control systems, and VFD used in jet pump surface operations.

Job Purpose
Responsible for installation, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, instrumentation, control systems, and VFD used in jet pump surface operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain VFD-driven pumping systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation faults.
- Configure and commission VFDs and PLC-based control systems.
- Perform calibration of pressure, flow, temperature, and level instruments.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspection of electrical equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and loop diagrams.
- Diagnose communication issues between field instruments and control systems.
- Support operational startups and equipment commissioning.
- Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of oilfield experience.
- Strong knowledge of:
- VFD programming and troubleshooting
- MCC panels and switchgear
- PLC systems
- Instrument calibration
- Electrical maintenance and fault finding
- Control systems
- Experience with high-pressure pumping operations is preferred.
- ABB, Siemens, Schneider, or Allen-Bradley VFD experience.
- PLC troubleshooting experience.
