Position Overview
The Electrical Engineer provides experienced power-systems engineering support for gas-turbine packages and power-generation projects. This role is responsible for the design, integration, testing, and field implementation of medium- and low-voltage generation and distribution systems, working across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, vendors, and field teams.

The Electrical Engineer provides experienced power-systems engineering support for gas-turbine packages and power-generation projects. This role is responsible for the design, integration, testing, and field implementation of medium- and low-voltage generation and distribution systems, working across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, vendors, and field teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, equipment specifications, calculations, and Bills of Material.
- Specify generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, MCCs, control cabinets, power distribution, auxiliary power, lighting, and safety systems.
- Perform or review load-flow, short-circuit, equipment and cable sizing, grounding, area classification, and protective-relaying requirements.
- Review vendor submittals for compliance with engineering specifications, project requirements, and applicable codes.
- Coordinate electrical interfaces with mechanical, controls, civil, manufacturing, procurement, construction, and operations teams.
- Participate in design reviews and support design improvements, cost reductions, and customer-specific requirements.
- Provide technical support during manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and manage multiple project priorities and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Five to ten years of progressive electrical-engineering experience, including substantial direct experience with industrial or utility power systems.
- Demonstrated experience with power generation, medium- and low-voltage distribution, transformers, switchgear, motors, MCCs, grounding, and protective relaying.
- Strong knowledge of three-phase power, load flow, short-circuit calculations, equipment and cable sizing, and overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, and differential protection.
- Working knowledge of electrical area classification, NEMA and IEC or IP enclosures, and IEEE, IEC, and NEC requirements.
- Ability to read and develop one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical equipment specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and engineering judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with gas turbines, generators, turbomachinery, or modular power equipment.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, factory testing, commissioning, or field installation.
- Engineer in Training certification or progress toward Professional Engineer licensure.
