Lead an experienced engineering team delivering complex automation and control system projects for a global technology organisation.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for a 6 month contract to lead a team of approximately 10–15 engineers and designers, overseeing engineering delivery, resource planning, technical quality and team development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of engineers and technical specialists.
  • Plan resources across multiple projects and customer requirements.
  • Oversee engineering quality, schedules, costs and technical delivery.
  • Support bids, tenders and customer technical discussions.
  • Manage technical risks, project issues and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with Project Management, Sales and Supply Chain.
  • Oversee engineering support through design, FAT, testing and commissioning.
  • Monitor team performance, utilisation and financial targets.
About You:
  • Degree qualified in Electrical, Electronic, Automation, Control Systems or related Engineering.
  • 5-10+ years' engineering experience within DCS, automation, control systems or industrial engineering.
  • Previous engineering team leadership or people management experience.
  • Strong project delivery, resource planning and stakeholder management skills.
  • Customer-focused with strong commercial and technical awareness.
  • Experience with major DCS or industrial automation platforms highly regarded.
  • Chartered Engineer / RPEQ advantageous but not essential.
