We are seeking an experienced Factory Coordinator (Contracts & Procurement) to oversee and coordinate procurement and contract management activities within a large-scale energy and infrastructure project environment. The successful candidate will act as the focal point for contracting and purchasing activities, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, commercial value, and effective stakeholder collaboration across multiple business functions.

This position requires strong leadership, contract management expertise, and the ability to operate within a complex, highly regulated, and multicultural environment while supporting major capital projects and operational activities. 
Key Responsibilities Contracts & Procurement Management
  • Manage end-to-end contracting and purchasing activities for both local and international service requirements.
  • Coordinate tendering activities, including scope definition, supplier engagement, bid evaluation, negotiations, and contract award.
  • Ensure the consistent application of company procurement and contracting procedures, governance requirements, and applicable local regulations.
  • Develop and implement contracting strategies aligned with operational and project objectives.
  • Lead contract administration activities, including renewals, extensions, claims management, budget monitoring, and supplier performance reviews.
  • Ensure timely creation and management of purchase orders and service orders within SAP.
  • Develop and maintain local and international supplier networks to support business requirements.
  • Create and maintain contractual templates aligned with applicable business and legal requirements. 
Commercial & Cost Optimisation
  • Drive commercial value through market intelligence, supplier evaluations, cost modelling, benchmarking, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations during contract award and execution phases.
  • Support procurement planning activities and contribute to long-term sourcing strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency, cost control, and supplier performance.
  • Define and monitor procurement KPI performance and improvement initiatives.
Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure all procurement and contracting activities comply with company policies, ethics requirements, transparency standards, and applicable legislation.
  • Maintain auditable electronic and physical contract records.
  • Support governance reviews and contract committee presentations.
  • Monitor adherence to approval processes, spend controls, and delegation of authority requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, particularly for high-risk and high-value agreements. 
Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with operational, project, legal, finance, cost control, HR, IT, HSE, commercial, and support service teams to deliver procurement objectives.
  • Support technical departments with contractual and procurement matters.
  • Lead procurement planning activities in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular coordination meetings with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and proactive planning.
  • Build strong working relationships across multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers. 
Team Leadership
  • Coordinate workload distribution and prioritisation within the procurement team.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, competency development, and performance management activities.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop team capabilities through mentoring, coaching, and training programs. 
HSE Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate leadership and commitment to Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental standards.
  • Ensure HSE requirements are embedded within procurement and contract documentation.
  • Monitor supplier and contractor compliance with HSE obligations.
  • Support incident reporting, investigations, and implementation of corrective actions where required. 
Candidate Requirements Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Commercial, Legal, or related discipline).
  • Relevant professional qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Contract Management are advantageous. 
Experience
  • Minimum 12 years of experience within the oil & gas, energy, or major infrastructure sectors.
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in contract management, procurement, and commercial activities.
  • Proven experience managing complex, high-value contracts and procurement programmes.
  • Experience supporting large-scale capital projects and operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement governance and contracting best practices
