About the Role The Head of IFEC Programs & Connected Experience will provide strategic leadership and end-to-end oversight for the design, development, and delivery of Inflight Entertainment, Connectivity, and Connected Cabin initiatives across the Qatar Airways fleet.
This position will define and execute the airline’s long-term IFEC and digital passenger experience roadmap, aligning with Qatar Airways’ broader digital transformation and customer excellence strategies. The role is responsible for driving innovation, ensuring seamless integration of technology and passenger touchpoints, and positioning Qatar Airways as a global leader in the connected inflight experience.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
- Define and implement the long-term IFEC and Connected Cabin strategy and innovation roadmap, aligned with the airline’s corporate and customer experience objectives.
- Lead portfolio planning, business case development, and investment proposals for new IFEC and digital experience programs.
- Identify and leverage emerging technologies and global trends to enhance passenger engagement and operational efficiency.
- Translate strategic ambitions into multi-year transformation programs, securing cross-functional and executive sponsorship.
- Oversee multiple large-scale programs spanning connectivity, digital content, personalization, and onboard engagement.
- Establish robust governance frameworks, PMO structures, and performance dashboards to ensure transparency and measurable success.
- Drive alignment across internal divisions—Product, IT, Engineering, Data, Interiors, and Compliance—and manage key external partnerships with OEMs and suppliers.
- Ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Serve as the senior point of contact for executive leadership, OEMs, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Represent Qatar Airways at global aviation and digital innovation forums, positioning the airline at the forefront of connected travel experiences.
- Own and manage the IFEC and Connected Cabin portfolio budget, ensuring disciplined investment and supplier accountability.
- Monitor and mitigate risks, dependencies, and compliance issues across programs.
- Lead and mentor a team of managers and program leaders, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Develop internal capabilities and succession pipelines to strengthen long-term organizational expertise in IFEC and digital transformation.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in program or project management, preferably in customer-facing technology, product development, or service innovation.
- Proven success in defining and executing large-scale digital or connectivity transformation programs.
- Deep understanding of IFEC systems, digital entertainment platforms, connectivity technologies, and personalization ecosystems.
- Strong background in portfolio governance, executive reporting, and strategic decision-making.
- Demonstrated financial acumen—experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets, negotiations, and supplier contracts.
- Skilled at influencing C-level stakeholders, OEMs, regulators, and external partners.
- Awareness of aviation digital trends, cybersecurity, data compliance, and customer experience best practices.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, coordinating across product, IT, engineering, and commercial divisions.
- Experience managing complex program governance, risk frameworks, and large-scale rollouts.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
