Position Title: JS.FIN.003 Driver
Grade: NJS 03
The National Judicial Staff Services (NJSS) has initiated a major organisational restructure to strengthen its workforce and enhance the delivery of efficient, effective, and quality support services to the Judiciary and courts throughout Papua New Guinea. We invite suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Papua New Guineans to apply for the position of Driver within the Director’s Office unit based in Waigani.
Role Overview:
The Driver is a key position supporting the Director of Finance. This role requires a highly responsible and flexible individual capable of performing a wide range of administrative and driving duties. The Driver ensures smooth and efficient transportation services for the Director while also handling various administrative tasks related to the management and operation of facilities and assets.

The Driver ensures smooth and efficient transportation services for the Director while also handling various administrative tasks related to the management and operation of facilities and assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the Director to and from scheduled appointments, site visits, and other required destinations, ensuring safety and punctuality.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on all vehicles, arranging for repairs and services as needed.
- Organize and maintain documentation related to facilities and assets, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for the Director, adjusting itineraries as required to accommodate last-minute changes.
- Manage communications on behalf of the Director, including taking calls, responding to emails, and conveying messages accurately.
- Prepare and submit reports related to vehicle maintenance, travel expenses, and other administrative tasks as required.
- Assist in the procurement and management of office supplies and equipment.
- Facilitate the setting up of meeting rooms and other requirements needed for presentations or conferences.
- Monitor and report on the condition of facilities and assets, flagging any issues that require attention.
- Perform other administrative tasks assigned to support the Director and ensure the smooth operation of the office.
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Valid Class 3 PNG Driver’s License.
- Defensive Driving Course Certification.
- 2 years or more working experience in a corporate or organizational setting.
- Basic knowledge in vehicle maintenance and safety.
- Experience with driving a variety of vehicles.
- Clean and excellent driving record.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients.
- Sound knowledge of road safety regulations and applicable traffic laws.
- Working knowledge of local roads and routes.
- Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications (GPS systems), utilize maps, and car manuals.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Clean & Sober Habits.
- Physical stamina and good upper body strength to lift heavy luggage, packages and objects, as well as be able to load and unload from vehicle.
- Team player and customer focused.
- Certification in defensive driving or professional driving training.
- 2 years or more working experience in a corporate or organizational setting.
