Position Title: JS.ITB.031 IT Support Officer – Momase
Grade: NJS 11
The National Judicial Staff Services (NJSS) has initiated a major organisational restructure to strengthen its workforce and enhance the delivery of efficient, effective, and quality support services to the Judiciary and courts throughout Papua New Guinea. We invite suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Papua New Guineans to apply for the position of IT Support Officer – Momase within the Service Support unit based in Lae, Morobe.
Role Overview:
To provide support for IT services in the Momase Region, covering the following provinces, Morobe, Madang, East Sepik and West Sepik. Establish good customer relations with staff in all Momase provinces. Establish a good working relationship with Judges of the National and Supreme Court in the Momase provinces. Ensure Registry and Corporate visions and cater for in the Momase provinces. Report to Team Leader and Manager any issues that require their intervention, approval, or opinion. National Judicial Staff Service Act 1987 and other relevant legislation. Standard Operational Procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Installing and configuring hardware and software.
- Replacing parts or equipment.
- Testing and evaluating new technology.
- Maintaining and monitoring computer systems and networks.
- Conducting electrical and safety inspections for computer equipment.
- Diagnosing software and hard issues.
- Troubleshooting network and systems issues.
- Creating documentation for technical support purposes.
- Providing basic domain and MS365 accounts support.
- Assisting internal customers with IT needs.
- Logging incidents and services requests with the Helpdesk System.
- Diploma in computer science or information Systems or equivalent.
- 3 years in IT Support.
- Relevant IT/Industry experience in Windows Server.
- Experience in Windows 10/11 environments.
- Experience in MS365.
- Experience in Networking.
- Display confidence when dealing with people, with well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- A natural collaborator and problem solver.
- Ability to adapt and adjust to changing processes, constantly seeking process improvement.
- Critical thinking and swift logical approach to problems.
- Logical thinker.
- Critical analyses of problems.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information Systems or equivalent.
- 3 years or more experience in IT Support.
