Position Title: JS.ITB.053 Team Leader Servers
Grade: NJS 13

The National Judicial Staff Services (NJSS) has initiated a major organisational restructure to strengthen its workforce and enhance the delivery of efficient, effective, and quality support services to the Judiciary and courts throughout Papua New Guinea. We invite suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Papua New Guineans to apply for the position of Team Leader Servers within the Infrastructure unit based in HQ - Waigani, POM.

Role Overview:
Manage the team and technical support for all servers and their operations. Manage the Installation and configuration of operating systems and applications on the server environment. Manage the implementation of Group AD Policies within the organization. Perform daily reviews of Microsoft Security Policies. Establish a good working relationship with the Applications and Systems team to ensure proper SOEs are captured in the installations. Report to Manager Support Services and the Director IT any issues that require their intervention, approval, or opinion. National Judicial Staff Service Act 1987 and other relevant legislation. Standard Operational Procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and configure network servers, DNS rules and DHCP scopes.
  • Install and administrate servers including operating systems and related services.
  • Configure and administrate Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) data appliances.
  • Plan routine system backups and recovery in collaboration with the DR team.
  • Test routinely, the backups of both Data and Systems.
  • Develop document installation, configuration procedures and server connectivity topologies.
  • Perform daily system monitoring of servers and resources.
  • Provide support to other teams having difficults on the server level.
  • Apply software security patches and upgrades.
  • Research and recommend innovative IT solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Configure and maintain the organization's infrastructure operating systems in conjunction with other teams to comply with IT policies and directives.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the organization’s Virtual IT Infrastructure and systems.
  • Maintain accurate departmental records, including hardware assets and software licenses.
  • Ensure that software license terms are not breached.
  • Day-to-day leadership of IT Server technical team.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Manager Infrastructure and Director IT.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information Systems or equivalent.
  • 4 years in Server Infrastructure roles within IT Departments or Divisions.
  • Strong technical knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Strong technical knowledge in Server Operating System range.
  • Experience in Server Management.
  • Experience in Group Policies of Microsoft Domains.

Preferred
