Position Title: JS.NCV.079 IECMS Data Officer JR & Appeals
Grade: NJS 09
The National Judicial Staff Services (NJSS) has initiated a major organisational restructure to strengthen its workforce and enhance the delivery of efficient, effective, and quality support services to the Judiciary and courts throughout Papua New Guinea. We invite suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Papua New Guineans to apply for the position of IECMS Data Officer JR & Appeals within the National Court unit based in Waigani.
Role Overview:
The IECMS Data Officer plays a pivotal role in maintaining and managing the integrity and accuracy of data within the Court Registry's Case Management System. This position is essential for ensuring that all case-related information is processed, stored, and retrieved efficiently to support the court's daily operations and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Input and validate case information in the Case Management System.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and perform regular data backups.
  • Generate reports as required by court officials.
  • Ensure data privacy and security measures are strictly followed.
  • Support registry operations through effective data management.
  • Coordinate with court officials to understand data requirements and deliver accurate information.
  • Manage user access and to ensure data security.
  • Develop and implement data management protocols to streamline case information processing.
  • Conduct regular scanning and updating of case management system.
  • Participate in case management system upgrades and testing to ensure continuous improvement and efficiency.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma in Information Technology, Business Management or related fields.
  • 3 years’ experience in the National and Supreme Court Registry as a civil officer.
  • Sound knowledge of Court Registry operations, practices, procedures and protocols.
  • Track record in administration and management of court files.
  • The officer must possess understanding of the court system, including the structure, functions, and processes of the registry.
Preferred
  • An Advanced Diploma in Court Administration would be an advantage.
  • Must have a track record of successful case management and data processing experiences.
This IECMS Data Officer JR & Appeals role requires sound judgement, adaptability, and a consistent commitment to professional service. The successful applicant will be expected to meet the role's operational demands, including high Caseload: One of the most significant challenges is managing a large volume of cases on daily basis.
