Position Title: JS.REG.003 Administrative Officer
Grade: NJS 06
The National Judicial Staff Services (NJSS) has initiated a major organisational restructure to strengthen its workforce and enhance the delivery of efficient, effective, and quality support services to the Judiciary and courts throughout Papua New Guinea. We invite suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Papua New Guineans to apply for the position of Administrative Officer within the Registry division based in Waigani.
Role Overview:
As a key member of the Registry team, the Administrative Officer is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the Court Registry through effective administration, resource management, payment processing, financial compliance, and stakeholder support. The role contributes to sound financial practices, efficient procurement, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement of administrative workflows.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of office supplies to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness.
- Process payments and invoices, manage petty cash, and assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
- Ensure financial transactions comply with applicable legal and organisational policies and procedures.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers and support favourable commercial arrangements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits to strengthen accountability and minimise waste.
- Prepare regular financial reports covering expenditure, budget variances, and forecasts.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to improve Court Registry workflow and efficiency.
- Identify and implement improvements to financial and administrative processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support smooth court administrative operations.
- Coordinate staff training on financial compliance and procurement procedures.
- Diploma in Business, Finance, or related fields.
- Knowledge of financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Excellent organisational, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Relevant experience in a finance and administrative role, preferably within a legal or court environment.
