Position Title: JS.RPC.008 Team Leader Change Management & Projects
Grade: NJS 11

The National Judicial Staff Services (NJSS) has initiated a major organisational restructure to strengthen its workforce and enhance the delivery of efficient, effective, and quality support services to the Judiciary and courts throughout Papua New Guinea. We invite suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Papua New Guineans to apply for the position of Team Leader Change Management & Projects within the Registry Development & Change unit based in Waigani.

Role Overview:
This position is designed to support the Manager - Registry Development & Change in updating management with the latest in management practices, innovations, and technologies. The primary purpose of this role is to lead projects and change initiatives that enhance the operational efficiency and service delivery of the registry. By adopting best practices and technologies, the Team Leader ensures the registry remains innovative, productive, and at the forefront of industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, lead, and manage projects focused on change management and process improvement within the registry.
  • Develop and mentor project team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives align with institutional goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for adopting innovative technologies and management practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to share knowledge on new industry trends and technologies.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Manager - Registry Development & Change.
  • Implement best practices in project management and change leadership.
  • Evaluate project outcomes and identify lessons learned for future initiatives.
  • Act as a change agent, encouraging and facilitating the adoption of new processes and technologies across the organization.
  • Address and manage any resistance to change, ensuring smooth transition and adoption of new practices.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in project management or change management role.
  • General knowledge of change management principles and methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of project management tools and software.
  • Thorough knowledge of the legal or judicial service industry is highly beneficial.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Proficient in project management and strategic planning.
  • Innovative thinker with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong adaptability and resilience in the face of change.
  • Proactive and effective problem-solver.
Preferred
  • Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience in project management, preferably with exposure to legal or judicial environments.
