Position Title: JS.RPC.009 Senior Projects Officer
Grade: NJS 08

The National Judicial Staff Services (NJSS) has initiated a major organisational restructure to strengthen its workforce and enhance the delivery of efficient, effective, and quality support services to the Judiciary and courts throughout Papua New Guinea. We invite suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Papua New Guineans to apply for the position of Senior Projects Officer within the Registry Development & Change unit based in Waigani.

Role Overview:
The Senior Projects Officer supports & reports to the Team Leader Change Management & Projects. The role exists to facilitate project success, from planning through to execution and review, ensuring objectives are met effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, lead, and manage projects focused on change management and process improvement within the registry.
  • Develop and mentor project team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives align with institutional goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for adopting innovative technologies and management practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to share knowledge on new industry trends and technologies.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Manager - Registry Development & Change.
  • Implement best practices in project management and change leadership.
  • Evaluate project outcomes and identify lessons learned for future initiatives.
  • Act as a change agent, encouraging and facilitating the adoption of new processes and technologies across the organization.
  • Address and manage any resistance to change, ensuring smooth transition and adoption of new practices.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in project management or related role.
  • General knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of change management processes.
  • Thorough knowledge in research and analysis techniques.
  • Skills Required: Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Highly adaptable and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude towards challenges.
Preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or degree in a related field.
  • 3 or more years of experience in project management, with a demonstrated track record of successful project execution.
