Position Title: JS.RPC.010 Projects Officer
Grade: NJS 07
The National Judicial Staff Services (NJSS) has initiated a major organisational restructure to strengthen its workforce and enhance the delivery of efficient, effective, and quality support services to the Judiciary and courts throughout Papua New Guinea. We invite suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Papua New Guineans to apply for the position of Projects Officer within the Registry Development & Change unit based in Waigani.
Role Overview:
The Projects Officer supports the Senior Projects Officer. This role facilitates project success from planning through execution and review, ensuring that project objectives are met with efficiency and effectiveness. The position is essential for the detailed organization and implementation of project activities, contributing to the registry's goal of maintaining innovative, productive operations at the forefront of industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and scoping of projects, ensuring detailed project plans are developed.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, reporting any discrepancies to the Senior Projects Officer.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all project phases, including planning, execution, and closure.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
- Participate in identifying potential process improvements and implementing best practices.
- Support the project team by coordinating meetings, resources, and information.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure project alignment with organizational goals.
- Handle administrative duties related to project management and execution.
- Diploma in Business Administration and Project Management.
- At least 3 years’ experience in project support or project management roles.
- General knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Working knowledge of project management software and tools.
- Thorough knowledge of documentation and reporting procedures.
- Effective organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Proactive in identifying and solving problems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., CAPM).
- 3 or more years of experience in project management or a closely related field.
