Position Title: JS.RPC.049 Court Management Systems Training Officer
Grade: NJS 10
The National Judicial Staff Services (NJSS) has initiated a major organisational restructure to strengthen its workforce and enhance the delivery of efficient, effective, and quality support services to the Judiciary and courts throughout Papua New Guinea. We invite suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Papua New Guineans to apply for the position of Court Management Systems Training Officer within the Registry Training unit based in Waigani.
Role Overview:
The Court Management Systems Training Officer is tasked with providing specialized training to court staff on the effective utilization of court management software and systems. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing the operational capabilities of the court by ensuring that staff are proficient in using technology to streamline case management, scheduling, and document handling processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify specific training needs related to court management systems through consultations with court staff and performance evaluations.
  • Design and implement targeted training programs that cater to the varying skill levels and roles of court personnel.
  • Develop and distribute training aids and materials that support the effective use of court management systems.
  • Schedule and conduct regular training sessions, both in-person and online, to accommodate the needs of court staff.
  • Collaborate with IT specialists to ensure training content is up-to-date and reflects the current capabilities of court management systems.
  • Facilitate hands-on practice sessions to enhance learning and ensure practical application of system functionalities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of training initiatives on court operations and staff performance, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Offer post-training support, answering queries, and providing additional resources to help staff apply what they have learned.
  • Promote best practices in the use of court management systems through newsletters, webinars, and staff meetings.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary Diploma in Information Technology, Education, or related fields.
  • Cert IV TAA/TAE.
  • At least 3 years of experience in training or education, with a strong preference for experience in technology or system training.
  • In-depth knowledge of court management systems and their application in judicial processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and instructional skills.
  • Strong ability to design and implement effective training programs.
  • Approachable with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Patient and adaptable to varying learning speeds and styles.
  • Proactive in staying updated on technology trends and system updates.
Preferred
  • Degree or higher in a field related to the position.
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience, particularly in a legal setting or IT training environment.
